The 12-Voltair™ is the industry standard for high-performance, mobile air power. Built for the grueling demands of the aftermarket trucking and towing industries, this unit combines a low-RPM cast iron pump with a high-efficiency permanent magnet motor to deliver "hour after hour" reliability.
The Motor: High-torque, 1800 RPM permanent magnet motor with brushes and thermal protection. Unlike standard starter or series-wound motors, this is designed for sustained, high-efficiency performance.
The Pump: Heavy-duty, twin-cylinder, cast-iron oil-lubed compressor.
Drive System: Positive timing gear belt pulley system. This advanced design eliminates belt slippage and significantly extends belt life.
The Enclosure: Rugged 18-gauge all-steel powder-coated cabinet.
Proven Reliability: Proudly serving the trucking industry since 1987. Every unit comes with a FULL One-Year Warranty.
Optimizing your power source is the key to the 12-Voltair's legendary performance.
Reserve Over Cranking Amps: The 12-Voltair thrives on battery reserve, not cold cranking amps. We recommend a battery with 120+ minutes of reserve.
Upgrade Your OEM Battery: Standard factory batteries are designed only for vehicle demands. For optimum performance, replace your stock battery with a high-reserve unit.
Manage Your Draw: Most vehicle alternators only charge 40-50 amps at idle. Since the 12-Voltair draws 80-90 amps, a high-quality battery (or a dual-battery setup) is necessary to bridge the gap.
Daily Heavy Use: If you plan to use your compressor for more than 3-4 hours daily, adding a second battery is highly recommended.
Maintenance: Remember that battery capacity diminishes over time. Lead-acid batteries typically need replacement every 2 years, while Optima-style batteries may last up to 4 years.

"Using this tool has eliminated the most aggravation a tow truck driver has—flat tires and jacking up cars. I have enough air to pump everything up... I can fix 4 tires with no problem and have air left over."
— Dwain Naftal, Bald Eagle Towing and Recovery Inc., FL
"About 10 or 12 years ago I purchased one of the first air compressors Voltair manufactured. Even with the extreme conditions I put it through, the only repairs I’ve made are a belt and a solenoid."
— Darwin Ediger, KS
